His wife texted the office, and I called her back right away. We set up a telehealth visit on the spot, whereby I could visualize the shoulder and get more information. Luckily enough, there was a small hospital nearby, and I was able to fax an order there for an x-ray, thus saving them a costly Emergency Room visit. The patient’s x-ray came back with great news...nothing broken! I was able to give them some treatment tips for helping soreness and promoting healing at home. All of this happened within 2 hours of falling and the only cost was the x-ray!
